If we go on Friday I will have to come a little later, I have an event from 7-8, so I wouldn't be able to get there until about 8:30 probably. Saturday is clear however.
Friday, Dec 2nd, sounds good for Pelan and I. Let us know what we can bring. Probably won't stay too terribly late since we're driving to Houston early the next day for the Big 12 championship game.
I can be there, but I'm going to have to scoot by midnight or so (Tam has to get up super early to go get some CE credits, so that means I'll be up early with the kiddos on Saturday...Tam would attend if not for her early day on Saturday).
Hank, could you shoot me an e-mail with directions. It's been too long for me. I'll have to get out of there by about 12 also. They didn't change the shifts up here when I thought they would.
Okay, it's on. Whew! - a close call. This has to be a record for last minute sign-up.
The suspects:
Leroy is in Jeff B is in Tubes is in, but will arrive late Barrister is in, but will leave early Shazam is in Shazam's son is in Stogels is in (uh-oh, a pro!) Colton is in Nils is a probable Hank
If everyone shows, we may have some rotation going on. Music listening or movie watching for those rotated out.
We'll need to fold at midnight - I've got a 9:00AM rehearsal Saturday morning (cruelty indeed). You'll all be at my concert Sunday afternoon as usual, right?: http://www.asband.org
Hank thanks for hosting, enjoyed it. Well except for watching my hands go down in flames on the river over and over again.
P.S. Sorry about my out of line comment on your Outlaw, I apologize. My bloodlevel was bit high at the time due to the poker beatings I had taken a shorttime before. Anyhow just differnt levels and perspectives.
I am itching to host some poker over here again. Would there be any interest for something on Saturday the 17th? We could do eggnog!
Thanks Hank! I needed the break, and was great seeing everyone (when I was able to keep my eyes open)... and those marvelous fajitas!
That was also one of the easiest cashouts to figure out with Chad the Barrister and I ending the game with nearly identical chip stacks of ~$3,500. Although we still don't know how the coins made their way into the pot... but we gave them a nice comfortable new home. It will be up to Hank to figure out where we put them though.
As usual I was happy to host and cook fajitas for the crowd. The poker was good for quite a while anyway, as I was accumulating the lion's share of the chips, then got caught up in that male pride thing and went nearly all in with 3 queens, but Stogels sneaked up on me with a straight and I went down in flames and only partially recovered. At least I didn't have to re-buy.
Scott - no hard feelings - you merely stated your personal opinion and I can certainly accept that. Our equipment is bought with an eye towards affordability at the time of purchase and I certainly could not afford the esoteric brands at the time I dived into pre/pro land. I'll upgrade eventually (Outlaw has a brand new unit that's supposed to be high performance).
Saturday, Dec 17th? Speaking for me, I'll probably be able to do it - I'll check calendars. "Do" eggnog? Do you mean you do homemade egg nog?
Oops! Saturday the 17th I'll be in Ft. Worth at my daughter Holly's graduation from TCU. She'll be an RN and employed full-time!
Tubes: tomorrow evening at 7:00, some of us from the Wurst Band will be playing at The Posse East, like this time last year when we met beforehand at that South American restaurant. If you and the Mrs are available, maybe we could meet for beverages or whatever.
Sorry for the lack of a response. I won't be able to make it tomorrow, Tubes. Sorry. We're going out of town for Christmas, and I've got a lot of pages to get done before I can leave.
