The Norman Panama and Melvin Frank production of 1960s The Facts of Life is an odd one, as it centers on a couple becoming involved in an affair -- sort of for laughs.
Especially since the couple in question is Bob Hope and Lucille Ball.
While it may have seemed a bit risqué in 1960, today the goings on are strictly sitcom material. Nominated for an Academy Aware for Best Screenplay.
As a Blu-ray MGM's master via Olive Films looks quite nice. A smoothly rendered (with decent grain) black & white image, rich blacks and a pleasant gray scale. Also very clean for a typical MGM product.
I find the 1.66 aspect ratio a bit high, as much of the film has appreciate dead space at the top of the frame.
