Hello everyone,
I'm looking for some reasonable advice on what to do concerning a deal I'm able to get.
I currently have a 5.0 setup consisting of Elemental Designs (3) a6 5t5 and (2) a3 5tc (link to product - http://www.edesignaudio.com/index.php?cPath=2_42) which I find to be satisfying in...
Looking to buy a used ep-2500, I live in Lancaster, PA and State College, PA so I'm good for a local pickup within some distance of those places but other than that I'm willing to pay for shipping to get it here.
So I bought a 15" TC-2000 about a year and a half ago and built a very nice 5 cubic foot, sealed enclosure for it with a 1300w plate amp from elemental designs. I enjoyed my set up thoroughly (although a slightly larger ported box always was in the back of my head) and never had any problems...
So my tv has two component inputs, I was using one for my ps3 and one for my cable box. The aftermarket cable I purchased from wal-mart to hook up the ps3 to the tv was expensive and incredibly cheaply made. It was the only one they had so I bought it there and then. One month down the road I am...
Hi everyone, I just got my 15" TC-2000 in the mail today and I cant wait to get started building a box and getting this thing powered up. I'm going to be using a 1000w plate amp from parts express. I've never built a box before and could use some help getting started. I am trying to go for a box...
I plan on purchasing an LMS5400 for an upcoming home theater project, and I am looking to give it 2-3k watts. I can either have a 1-ohm or 4-ohm load and looking to spend $1000-$1500 on the amplifier. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
So I've been a bit out of the home theater loop for quite some time now. I moved to England for 4 years and now that I am returning to the US (the land of large homes and cheap electronics) I am trying to get started peicing together a new sound system. So I need some advice and guidance because...
Ok, so I got the seinheiser hd600's with a nice headphone amp... and I have no idea where to plug it into. I already plugged my headphones into the amplifier, and have a pair of RCA's running from the headphone amp up to my reciever. I just dont know where to plug it in. I just want to be...
I am in the market for headphones and possibly a headphone amp. My budget is $500-$800 for everything (including shipping if I buy online). What are some of your favorites in that price range?
My 2 week old Harman Kardon AVR130 is now leaving me, because my family and I are being moved to England. I plan on upgrading the home theater once we get there. So up for sale is the HK avr130 which is in MINT condition. I only used it on four seperate occasions. asking $270 shipped.
I have never done it before and do not want to do it the wrong way. Do I just cut a hole into the box to the specs of it? do I need to caulk it up then to prevent air leaks or is it already pretty air tight? just confused. thanks tyler cookson
What makes a speaker stand good? I can get omni mount speaker stands (24"-31") through my discounts for about 70 dollars a pair. I decided to do some searches to find out what makes a speaker stand better then others but turned up nothing.
Title explains it. With the new stereo reciever I am getting, it has no digital inputs at all which upsets me. What kind of difference will I see from downgrading from digital coax to composite (even if I do use excellent RCA's). I am using just some random sony dvd player I got for $100 from...
Bad news came today, and I am moving to England. My biggest concern is, how will I be able to use all my electronics over there? I think we use a 120v 60hz kind of thing and they have like 220v and 50hz. there are things that change 120v to the 220v but I havnt found anything that does to 60hz...
If I were to hook up an external amp for my 2 fronts... How would I go about doing this on my Harman Kardon AVR130? I see no pre-outs besides the one for my sub. I hope this is possible because it does not give out enough power for the speakers I plan on using..
If any of you could point me in the right direction, that would be incredibly helpful. I just finished building a subwoofer box for my sub, now all I need is the amplifier. sub is 1500 watts rms. If any of you know a decent amp (doesnt have to be ultimate quality) that will give it anywhere from...
doing a DIY sub, and doing construction now. It will be downfiring, but I know I will be building pegs so it stands about 3 3/4" tall, but should I have it downfiring onto an extra thing of mdf (which would be attached) or should I just downfire it onto carpet. would it make any difference?
I am doing a DIY project building an enclousure for my 15" RE HC. I am building the box soon, I know everything I need to build it. but what do I use to give it those finishing touches that make it look awesome. I am looking for some kind of High gloss black look to it. I have no idea how to...
Through my accomodations at Circuit city, I can obtain a pair of polk LSi-9 speakers for $410 shipped. Did a lot of searches on this forum, and found that this is a spectacular deal. But now I am not sure if I have the proper equipment. I am just an audiophile 16 year old kid right now with some...
