While we wait for A few words about…™ Invaders from Mars – in 4k UHD & Blu-ray

Robert has been known in the film industry for his unmatched skill and passion in film preservation. Growing up around photography, his first home theater experience began at age ten with 16mm. Years later he was running 35 and 70mm at home.

His restoration projects have breathed new life into classic films like Lawrence of Arabia, Vertigo, My Fair Lady, Spartacus, and The Godfather series. Beyond his restoration work, he has also shared his expertise through publications, contributing to the academic discourse on film restoration. The Academy Film Archive houses the Robert A. Harris Collection, a testament to his significant contributions to film preservation.

I haven't seen Invaders from Mars since about 1976, when I saw it at a revival at the Balboa Theater in Southern California, I think as part of a double feature with War of the Worlds. Especially since it's restored from the original camera negative I'm likely to get this gem.

Soooo new combine from the three strips?

EDIT: Oh this was shot on TriPack. Why did I think it was a late three-strip?

I bought the Image Ent. dvd years ago and is still in my collection. I am so happy, I'm drooling, LOL!!! Although I have seen it in theaters, the copies have just been fair at best!! To have this classic film finally receiving the love that it's needed for decades is time for a party!! Kudos to all that took that leap of faith!!
