The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

The Specials

–Another week with Twilight Time releases.  You can’t find these titles just anywhere.  They can only be pre-ordered HERE and HERE.

–Best Buy, this week, has no Sunday flyer, apparently.  At least I couldn’t find one in my local newspaper today–after checking in five different places.

–Best Buy Odds and Ends:  None to report.

–Target this week has EXCLUSIVE LENTICULAR PACKAGING AND CONTENT with its Blu-ray copies of Kong: Skull Island.  There are 12 extra minutes of bonus content which accompanies the Target purchase.

–Target is also advertising a FREE $5 TARGET GIFTCARD with the pre-order of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 on Blu-ray at target.com/preorder.

–The following Blu-ray releases are advertised on sale this week at Target:

$10.00:  Storks, Suicide Squad, Fist Fight

$15.00:  LEGO Batman

$19.99:  Power Rangers (2017), John Wick 2

$22.99:  The Fate of the Furious

$24.99:  Beauty and the Beast (2017)

–Target Odds and Ends: None to report.

Hellloooooooo RoundUppers!

Couldn't score a Best Buy ad today. Maybe it's one of those weeks where BB is playing "hard to get?"

4k Kong: Skull Island is on its way to me this week.

With all I'm spending at the B&N Criterion sale, it's just Blood Alley for me.
I will be getting Tom Sawyer/Huckleberry Finn and The Crimson Kimono in the near future.

Skull Island will be a Redbox watch for me, maybe next weekend. I keep hearing decent things about it, so why not?

I forgot about Tom Sawyer.

I might pick it up down the road if Twilight Time ever puts it up on sale. I'm a BIG Sherman Brothers fan...but it would basically be a blind buy for me. I watched it when it first aired...but remember very little about it except that Jonathan Whittaker is in it. I remember thinking back then that I was surprised to see him in something other than Family Affair.

Thanks for the Round-Up Mike

I pre-ordered the four new Twilight Time films through SAE ($ saved $5 each) so I'm guessing the box will come to work sometime week after next ...

Eventually I may get the 17th reboot of King Kong but prolly not this month, as Amazon is underpicing B&N sale prices on some Criterion titles sometimes and I have a few more titles I would like like to buy ...

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike.

I did have a couple of reviews posted already for this week's releases: The Promise Blu-ray review can be found here. The DVD review for The Untouchables: The Scarface Mob can be found here.

I'm waiting for my three Twilight Time titles to arrive, and I put in for Grantchester, too, though I don't expect I'll get it.

Ouch! And I looked, too, Matt.

Sorry. But I've added those links to the WRU article. Thanks for letting me know!

Shirley you jest the Weekly Ad is right here ... http://deals.bestbuy.com/?category=featured+deals

It looks like the 3D UHD 4K Kong version has a premium of $5.00 of the regular UHD version ...

Yeah, BUT this version has both 3D and 4K and as far as I can tell it's the only way to get both the 3D and 4K in one package. And 35 is a lot to pay but I may bite the bullet since I want the 3D and the $5 future proofing seems worth it

It appears that there are several format versions of Kong out there. I was going to purchase the Amazon 3D version for $29.95, but it got raised to $37.61 on release day and it was 3D and Bluray only! Then I investigated Best Buy and saw that I could get both 3D and 4K for $35, which is cheaper than Amazon's price for 3D and Bluray only. Looked at Target, and it has 4k and Bluray only. So we have 1) 3D/Bluray; 2) 4k/Bluray; 3) 4K/3D Bluray/Bluray; 4) Bluray/DVD and 5) DVD. I too, opted for the Best Buy 4K/3D Bluray which is also a steelbook. I really wish things were simpler.
