The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Happy RoundUp Day, Mouseketeers!

On its way to me this week is...Boy on a Dolphin. I think that's it.

As always, all "likes" of the OP are very much appreciated. Thanks for taking part in the thread. We are heading into the "busy season." :D

I received the new edition of The Quiet Man today, so I'll be working on that one tomorrow. I don't think I'm slated to do any other of this week's releases for review. Still waiting on the delayed Twilight Time discs, of course.

Thanks, Mike!

Thanks, as always, for the Roundup. Looks like The Tree of Wooden Clogs has been delayed until February.

Thanks for your work, Mike. I *really* want HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE, which I highly recommend, but that $26.99 price is going to need to come down a bit, especially since the DVD is currently selling for about half that. So, regrettably, I'll wait a little while on it, and nothing else for me this week.

Thanks, Mike! I will pick up The Exorcist III when the price comes down some. Not sure if I want to double dip on The Quiet Man -- I will wait for the reviews.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike!

Boy on a Dolphin coming Tuesday, and two Olive double dips, The Quiet Man and Night of the Grizzly are due on Thursday from Amazon, which seems to be a lazy river on delivering my pre-orders lately.

Thanks, Mike! Nothing for me this week.

Am I correct in assuming that the DVD listing of "The Equalizer: Complete Collection" is just VEI doing a repackaging, and that there are no improvements or added features to make this an upgrade over the earlier "Limited Edition" box from 2 years ago that is still available?

Nothing this week unless I break down and order Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas from the Disney Movie Club.

Thanks Mike!

I was just in Target yesterday...but will be heading back to take advantage of that and my RedCard's 5% discount. I saw The Shallows there for $19.99 yesterday. So I'll pick that up and anything else I've been waiting on.

Things may have changed since last I checked, but apparently the domestic version is just a bare-bones DVR (or whatever the blu equivalent is) where the NZ version is not. This sounds like a very strong case for importing from Down Under.

EDIT - my bad. Did some more reading and apparently the one that Best Buy has is the NZ version, which is why it's 30 bucks.

Anybody got any thoughts as to why I can't find The Good Wife: Season 7 (final season) listed on Target.com?

I know the Amazon listing has been screwy...it has continuously shown a "Usually ships in 1 or 2 months" tag.

But I have seen copies at my local Barnes and Noble (for $64.99!).

This release just doesn't want to cooperate for me!

I don't think they will be selling it ... there is an ad link from Target for a third party seller for $34.99
https://www.moviewebb.com/the-good-wife-the-final-season-dvd/?gclid=CKGMreW_9M8CFYZjvAodq2IAtg

(AYOR as BBB.com has no listing for them)
Deep Discount has it for $47.35

Others here have stated issues when ordering out of stock items but so far (fingers crossed) I've had good success with them

That's really strange. The first six seasons of TGW is up for sale at Target.

I was at one of my local stores tonight and there was no slot for TGW: S7. It's all very strange.

Maybe Barnes and Nobel will have a sale on TV titles sometime down the road?? I can't remember if they ever do that.

====================================

But I did use the cartwheel deal and my RedCard discount tonight on three titles. Plus, I had a Target $20 giftcard which I got from Groupon for $10!

The three titles included two Blake Lively films and one Alicia Vikander film: The Shallows ($19.99), The Age of Adeline ($9.00) and Ex Machina ($9.00).

They total $37.99. 20% off dropped 'em to $30.39. The Red Card 5% dropped 'em further to $28.87. And then I had the $20 giftcard (which cost me $10). So, I'll subtract $10 and say I paid $18.87 for those three films.

Now I just need to find time to watch them.

My wife wasn't exactly thrilled with my selections...

Nice deal.

I'm still trying to figure out how to convince my wife I bought The Shallows because I thought she'd like it...

unless she just despises science fiction, I'd be surprised if she didn't find it intriguing.

Yup...that's it, Matt.

She doesn't like any sci-fi...or action films of any kind. If things blow up, forget about it. Hitchcock (or any suspense/thriller/horror? Nope. We're pretty much limited to drama/comedy films and TV when we watch together (which is most of the time). And it doesn't help that my HT is in our main living area. It makes it kinda hard for me to gain much traction on my queue of films I want to see when I keep pulling in films like the new ID4 or Ex Machina or The Shallows.

Hell. I have to "sneak in" segments of Designated Survivor when I can. She's just totally disinterested in anything like that.

I've been meaning to start a thread on the subject for a long time. I can't imagine I'm the only one with this issue! :D

Don't get me wrong. This is one of our few problem areas...and it's exacerbated by the fact that we spend all our time together because our relationship is so good. Kind of a weird Catch-22. But it's one of the few Mars/Venus things in our life...and it hits me hard in my hobby. I sometimes wonder if a dedicated HT would help or hurt.
