Hey RoundUppers!

Some cool stuff coming this week. Even without any big name current theatrical releases to be put out on disc right now, there is so much good stuff still out there to come...

Safe shopping!

Alot of smaller stuff for me. I'll be picking up Private Parts, Shivers and Vampire In Brooklyn (I love Wes Craven's good movies so much that I'll even buy the bad ones).

Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

Thank you, Mike!

I would get Home Alone and Hocus Pocus without question if I were 4K equipped. But I'm not. So I don't plan on getting any new Blu-rays this week.

But for anyone interested in stuff that aren't Blu-rays, I've got Troubled Blood coming from Amazon next Tuesday. It is the new "Robert Galbraith"/J.K. Rowling mystery novel.

And next Friday, Nick Cordero's live album recorded in 2019 will come out. He was a Broadway actor who unfortunately lost a lengthy battle with COVID earlier this year. I had the privilege to see him on tour in Rock of Ages several years ago and he was fantastic. So I've got that preordered with Broadway Records. It's such a shame that he's not here, but I look forward to hearing the album he left behind.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike.

Some prime oldies this week, and a couple I'm slated to review which haven't arrived yet.

Anyone who might be interested in Weathering With You should be aware that there is a more souped-up special edition coming out later this year. The big set will include everything from this week's releases, plus the film in 4K, an exclusive additional making-of documentary on its own disc and the soundtrack on CD. The catch is that it's a lot more expensive; Amazon is currently selling it for $79.98. This set is the only way to get the 4K disc in the United States. It will be released on November 17.

I'm not advocating any particular edition here -- unfortunately, I didn't like the movie, so I won't be picking it up at all -- but thought it was worth posting so that anybody who might be looking at it can make an informed purchasing decision.

Anyone know what movies are in the Stephen King 5 film collection?

Answering my only question they are The Stand TV mini series, Pet Sematary 1989. Pet Sematary 2019, Silver Bullet, and the Dead Zone. I'm not sure that I am going to get that, by far my favorite of those 5 are The Stand which I already own on Blu-Ray and who's transfer is terrible but I'm holding onto because the DVD transfer was way worse.

I want The Dead Zone from that set but all the rest, I either have, have a better version of or don't want. Hopefully, I'll be able to find it cheap in a Halloween display at Target or Best Buy in the next month.

The Dead Zone is available for purchase in HD from iTunes, Vudu, and Amazon Prime, and it's free for viewing if you have a Prime account. I picked it up from iTunes a few weeks ago when it was on sale for $4.99.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike! Four headed to me this Tuesday:
  • The Cat and the Canary
  • The Ghost Breakers
  • Paramount Presents: Roman Holiday
  • The Sons of Katie Elder
I am excited for the Bob Hope films, but I expect that the very first movie I'll spin is the one about Katie Elder's sons.

I will likely throw Home Alone, Hocus Pocus and Onward into a Disney Movie Club order sometime before the end of the year. But I don't need the new titles immediately.

Thanks Mike!

I just got the e version of this, it has now reached late Potter book size. My Nook says it is 879 pages.
