Toslink Digital Audio input

    Does anyone have info on bit-rate or speed that digital inputs on a receiver can handle? What aroused my curiosity was reading an article that indicated DVD Audio and SACD exceeded the speed that digital audio inputs can handle.
    I was under the assumption that the industry had copyright concerns with digital inputs for DVD-A, hence there are six analog cables to connect to a preamp or receiver.

    This is true, but currently a moot point since the new formats are output only from the analog connections. As far as I know none of these players put out a digital signal when playing the new formats.

    The MMG were replaced with 1.6QR's and added Marantz MA-700's. SVS is here. Ok, allot more then that has changed, I'll update my page some day...
