Not really that big of a deal - Gunn’s last two films were presented entirely in the digital IMAX 1.90:1 ratio in those theaters as well.

Just that it’s a little different I think from the regular shield

Not much of an "S" represented there. Looks like a baseball diamond with a path from 3rd base across the pitcher's mound.

Title is officially called: Superman

And first official look at new ''S' design.

Looks to be similar to the Kingdome Come Superman shield

There's an "S" in there somewhere? Looks like a Yield sign with a slash across it.

I don't understand why they think they have to keep re-inventing the wheel.

The shield was revealed in February.

Malcolm.
Looks like an S on the shield to me. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Jonathan Kent again?

I thought they weren't doing the origin story again.
That being the case, wouldn't he already be dead?

Jonathan Kent always dies in the comics but not always at the exact same moment in Clark’s life. It could also be a flashback sequence.

Different interpretations of Superman have had Jonathan and Martha alive and well and living in Kansas. Superman: The Animated Series is one example (and one of the best interpretations of the Superman mythos). John Byrne’s celebrated run in the comics was another.

John Byrne’s celebrated run in the comics was another.
And they kept him alive for 20 or so years until Geoff Johns killed him off a couple of years before the next reboot.

The current status quo has both Kent parents alive and well -- just don't ask too many questions about how.

As far as non-comics instances go, recall that in the 90s series Lois & Clark, both of the Kent seniors were alive and well.

The thing is, too, that comics-wise, in the original continuity -- before Crisis on Infinite Earths -- both of the Kents were dead by the time Clark was fully adult. Interestingly enough, I don't recall that there's ever been an iteration of the DC Universe where Jonathan lived and Martha didn't. It's always been (1) they both lived, (2) they both died, or (3) Jonathan died and Martha didn't.
