Spike Lee’s “She’s gotta have it” will this ever see the light of day on our current DVD standard?

I’d love for the film to contain both the released R-rated version and of course Lee’s Unrated Criterion edition director’s cut that runs 4m longer.

KeyVideo, I suppose at one time was under a deal with CBS/FOX video because that’s what my VHS copy implies with the manufacturing format of the packaging. Don’t know
if Fox Home Entertainment would opt to distribute the film a new release.

Key Video was one of Fox's "sub-labels"- they had a few of those for awhile, including that and Playhouse Video, which had mostly family and classic titles. I see they're now releasing some B-titles on DVD under Key Video.

I wish my fav Spike film, Mo' Better Blues would be redone with a better transfer!

I hold out hope for a Criterion release of She's Gotta Have It that includes his "Bed-Stuy Barbershop We Cut Heads" student film.

The last VHS edition came from Polygram Video in the mid-90s. The Polygram library is now owned by MGM, so I'm guessing they've got it.
