Listen...

Ultimately, I switched back from Android to Apple.

But, that doesn't mean that I don't feel Apple still lags behind
Samsung on many hardware and software issues.

Apple still falls behind in providing features that Samsung phones have
been enjoying. In some ways, Apple still is behind the times.

...but ultimately, it's all a matter of taste.

Please excuse the fact that I am including all the Samsung hate ads below.
I feel that I still need to defend that platform and hope Apple continues to
catch up (in some respects)...

The striking thing for me is that I'm not sure who they are making fun of, how do they see their core base?

Are Samsung users or Apple users supposed to be the Aspy geeks? Most of the linux diehards around here are Galaxy users, but that's a pretty limited audience.

Last year Samsung was saying Apple products were for grandmas. Wish they'd make up their minds.

Even though you've switched back to Apple, Ron, glad to see you acknowledge that they're behind the times. :)
I'm not sure who they are making fun of
I'd say people who are behind the times in general ("golly! I just discovered the benefit of a larger screen!").

Nobody I know doubts the usefulness of bigger screens. It's not unreasonable to doubt that the tradeoffs are worthwhile especially if you also are carrying a full size tablet device or don't want a big honking piece of plastic permanently in your pockets.

That's incorrect, Robert. Sam doubted the usefulness of 4" screens.

To me, a phablet (yes, I'm calling it a phablet) is useless, regardless of the manufacturer. The 4s was a perfect size for me. I traded up for a 5s for a 64-bit processor and am dealing with a larger phone than I like but I can't see myself trading up for a 6. If they make the inevitable 6s smaller, I'll bite when it comes out.
