This thread is six years old, predating the Archive by two years. Taylor, who was at MGM for all those years, is indeed the Archive's star (though a lot of James Caan titles were issued early on).

Right, it's not like Warner Archive hasn't given Robert Taylor his proper due.  I just counted 20 Robert Taylor titles in my library from Warner Archive alone.  That just might be the most titles of any single actor in the Archive program.
