R2 Dog Soldiers AR (1 Viewer)

I recently picked up the R2 version of Dog Soldiers for the extra extras and noticed the AR seems to be all over the place.

Can't recall 100%, but I thought the R1 feature was 1.85.

Playing back the R2 feature shows about 1.66.

Playing back the deleted scenes on the R2 DVD is 2.35.

I don't have a ton of experience with multi-region discs, but I don't think 1.66 is correct and it looks a little odd.

Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is this just a function of the PAL conversion with my multi-region player (just a cheap Daewoo)?

what exactly are the extra extras on the R2 release?
I have the R1 and it's a great moster movie. I can't believe it never got a theater run here.

Hi John! Welcome to HTF.

R2 extras not found on the R1 release include:

• Feature commentary with the director, cast, and crew.
• Deleted scenes/gag reel.
• Director's short film: "Combat"
• Storyboards

I believe there is an extra trailer or two, as well. The producer's commentary and featurette on the R1 disc are also included on the R2 release.

I now see my case says the AR is 1.85. Must just be some quirk of PAL conversion on my cheap multi-region player that's stretching it a bit.
