I was quite sad to read the news yesterday as Coolio was one of my favorite rappers from the 90s. The first time I heard him was on a 1991 track by WC and the Maad Circle before he went solo. Rest in peace.

Gangsta's Paradise was epic in it's day and still hold up. I "believe" it was the first Rap song to get the Weird Al treatment.




Coolio wasn't on board with the parody at first but he and Al eventually made amends.
