Question about de-interlacing Chips (1 Viewer)

In a Player Like the LiteOn Lvd2001,Bravo D1 and a few other players. Is it the EM8500 from Sigma Designs thats handling the de-interlacing or is it a different chip in the player

According to Secrets of Home theater and HIFI, the D1 uses the Sigma EM8500. I have no idea about the others. Here is a link to the Secrets review of the D1. You may have better luck with finding out what the deinterlacer on the others are at the AVS forum.
