PS4/PS5 Audio configuration 2.0? (1 Viewer)

When wanting to play Spotify on a PS4 and PS5 it does not offer a 2.1 speaker configuration? However on the PS4 when using 2.0 it sounds best and the sub does work. How is that. On the PS5 I can use 5.1 and it will only drive the 2 fronts and the sub. That’s how I would like to play music but not sure why it’s configured as such?

What sub are you using? If you can get 2.0 your sub will convert it to 2.1 if it has full range speaker inputs and outputs and a built in crossover. Kinda a pita workaround but will work...

It appears that is what it is doing. I’m just surprised the PS doesn’t have it at 2.1 though
