Problems with IR remote extender (1 Viewer)

I just bought one of the Recoton IR extenders to use with my Tivo remote, and I'm having some difficulties with it.

It works for awhile, and then stops completely. Sometimes if I unplug the transmitter module, and plug it back in, it works, and other times nothing works. Has anyone else had intermittent problems with it? I'm planning on either swapping it for another unit, or getting the Radio Shack version & trying it.

It also doesn't matter where I am in relation to the transmitter, so it must be some type of power problem.

I had the same problem with the same unit. I just have to assume that cheap junk doesn't work. We probably shouldn't be funding the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army anyway.:frowning:
