Portable DVD and magnetic shielding... (1 Viewer)

Since portable DVD have built in screens (of course),will it damage the screen if its too close to speakers that arent sheilded or would it be ok?Thanks for any help.

Since these screens are LCD, not CRT, it should not affect the screen I wouldn't think. There is no electron beam to divert and no metal mask to magnetize.
Strong fields might, however, muck with the motor or drive head functioning. SHort of large woofers, I would think it's OK.
