Pioneer Plasma Media Box Noise- Anyone Experience This? (1 Viewer)

I set up a PDP-4360HD for someone, and though the TV works flawlessly and looks gorgeous, she is not happy with the noise emanating from the media receiver.
There is a small fan that runs even when the set is in standby mode.
Admittedly, it's not all that loud, but IS noticeable when all is quiet at night. Do you feel Pioneer would address this issue?
Has anyone perhaps found a fix?

Thanks for any thoughts.

PS- I was on hold with the Pioneer 800 number for 45 minutes this a.m. before I finally gave up and figured I'd ask here...

From everything I've read on that particular unit, the fan noise is normal.
