Philips Projection has announced the availability of the PicoPix MaxTV mini portable projector with 1080p resolution and a 120-inch screen size. Priced at $899.99, the small device includes built-in Android TV access, as well as 2.1 integrated speakers promising “a truly immersive cinematic experience, indoors and out”. The company also says that the unit supports HDR10 and TI DLP Cinema technology producing a super-bright image, primed for movies, TV and gaming.
The PicoPix MaxTV does not appear to scrimp on media streaming capabilities either, with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ onboard, and control options via Google Assistant and Chromecast. The projector supports a claimed four-hour battery life. AI-driven auto focus, auto keystone correction (vertical +45 degree), multiple image correction, four-corner correction, and a light sensor for adaptive brightness in different situations all add to the picture manipulation credentials...
