I currently own a 2900 and just purchased a Panny 900 projector. I am wondering if I would notice an improvement using the Oppo as opposed to upscaling the 2900's signal. I would keep the 2900 for multi channel and use the Oppo for movies if it would be a big improvement.

I doubt it would be a big improvement, but maybe a little. You would just have to try it and see. If you order from oppo, you get a 30 day money back gurantee. I use a Panny RP82 and the oppo is a tad bit better, but it's by no means night and day. I do like many of the features of the oppo better than what the 82 has.

Thanks Greg. I think I'll just stick w/ the 2900 for now. I love the non existant layer changes and pristine DVDA. It isn't worth the hassle of buying and returning for a possible minimal improvement. Besides it's silver.
