Hey guys,
I'm looking for some insight on the Onkyo HT-R548 and if its compatible with Wharfedale diamond 10.1. I can't seem to find this info online anywhere but my concern is that the Onkyo may not accommodate the speakers because it only seems to have push springs on the interface. I hope my question makes sense as I'm only getting into this.
Any insight on this would be well received.
Thanks,
Nanuq

Every amp made will power every single speaker made.
Yes, in some cases, you have to worry about speakers below 6ohm on some receivers/amps.
Onkyo, typically, is stable down to 4ohm.
Edit:
The WD 10.1 is 6ohm nominal, so no problems with this combo.

Thanks for your reply. Upon further review, my real question is whether the Wharfedale's can be direct wired (bare wired) into the Onkyo receiver which only supports spring clips or if the speakers come with banana clips out of the box. The speaker cable ends do not look bare wired in all the pics I've seen.
Thanks again.

The 10.1(I think, been awhile since I looked at a pic) have binding posts that you...
1. Use banana plugs (in my opinion, a waste of time...)
2. Use "spades" (again a waste of time...in my opinion)
3. Shoot the bare wire through the hole and crimp the post down.
Apparently you've never seen them. No compatibility issue at all.

Awesome, thanks for your reply. I want to get this right as I live in Budapest and making a return could prove difficult.
