Onkyo 989/Integra 9.1 - fan noise fixed? (1 Viewer)

I have read the early Onkyo 989's and Integra 9.1's had some fan noise, and the units were modified to make the noise less intrusive. I'd like to know from owners of the newer units - when the fan operates, just how intrusive is it? How long does it stay on for usually? If the top is kept well ventilated, does this help? I'm ready to buy the Integra 9.1U2, but need to know about this fan issue before I do.

I have the 989 (fully upgraded) and the fan issue to me has never been a big deal. When the fan comes on, it runs for about 5-8 seconds and is very quiet. Since the latest upgrade, it is even quieter than when I first bought the receiver. I would make the jump!
