Older Toshiba Worth Buying....$300.00?? (1 Viewer)

Friend of mine in the TV repair business has a TP55F81 in very good cond.been checked out and repaired but gone unclaimed...I can buy it and put it in my basement for the grandkids or am I just throwing away my money....
Anyone had any experience with this particular model I would appreciate your input.

Just one dollar for any used TV, especially one of that vintage, is too much. NTSC-only RPTVs simply don't look good anyway. Besides, the mere fact the unit was in for repairs to begin with is enough of a red flag.
