Could someone please explain to me the difference.

T763 is 6 channels X 100 Watts and 7.1 .
T773 is 7 channels X 110 watts and 7.1

So what does this mean? The 773 send 100 watts to the subwoofers? If so, I would already have a powered subwoofer and it doesn't need to send anything but a single. So, is one overpaying for power that won't be used?

Also, they say both units have 7.1 analogue for DVD. What does this mean? Why wouldn't it be digital?

You can tell I am new to this.
Thanks

The 763 has amp channels for:

Front R
Center
Front L
Surround Left
Back Surround
Surround Right

The 773 has:

Front R
Center
Front L
Surround Left
Back Surround L
Back surround R
Surround Right

Neither has amp power for a sub. FTR, I have a 762, which is similar to the 763. I use it in a 6.1 configuration. If the 763 is the same as my 762, it does have pre-outs for the second back surround channel, so you could do 7.1 with an external amp.
