Here is the link to a few pictures of my latest creation.
It is a single shiva ported with a single 4" flared vent. Powered by Adire's AVA250 plate amp. It is more or less an EBS alignment.
I built ths for my Father to replace his cheesey Mirage 10"er that was trying to fill a huge open space.
It is constructed of all 3/4"MDF with extensive internal bracing as you will see. The interior walls were lined with 1+1/2" convoluted foam but no other stuffing.
The exterior is paper backed Oak veneer we stained to match some of the wood in his room. I will post some pictures of it in it's home shortly.
I had a chance to break it in and listen to it for a week before he came and got it...It sounded very impressive! Very clean and low bass.

HE HE, you noticed!
When I started on this project it was my intention to just kinda slap it together but once I got going I just couldn't bring myself to do that. I just can't seem to do half A$$ work.

The veneer I bought from a local lumber supply company. The amp I got from www.adireaudio.com as well as the driver the "Shiva".

All I used the jigsaw for was to cut out the amplifier hole. It really shouldn't matter that much for this operation.
Did you think I used it to construct the cabinet?
