Malata differences (DVD-N996 vs. PDVD-996) and UK (1 Viewer)

I have been browsing for a new (cheap) DVD player. I am in the UK and have a UK model Samsung 709 in region free mode.

The Malata N996 looks like a full function player, and I am not a great brand addict as long as the thing does its job.

I noticed from a coupld of searches that there appears to be two product codes, the DVD-N996 and the PDVD-N996. Are these actually different, or are the web sites just wrong.

Secondly, anyone using this player in Europe, and most especially with SCART ?

Finally, anyone shipping these in Europe rather than all the way across the pond ?
