Jeff Kleist brought this up, but I thought It deserved its own heading as it now has also been confimed by the latest VIDEOSTORE.
The article says that MGMs edition will restore the 1979 hit with its original audio track, in BOTH mono and a 5.1 remix...the disc will also contain the docus: Mel Gibson: Birth of a Star, and MAD MAX:birth of a phenomenon...a Jan 4 date is listed (along with BUCKAROO BANZAI)

Well, that's just too damn cool! [IMG] Can't wait!
    ------------------
He thought on homeland, the big timber, the air thin and chill all the year long. Tulip poplars so big through the trunk they put you in mind of locomotives set on end. He thought of getting home and building him a cabin on Cold Mountain so high that not a soul but the nighthawks passing across the clouds in autumn could hear his sad cry. Of living a life so quiet he would not need ears. And if Ada would go with him, there might be the hope, so far off in the distance he did not even really see it, that in time his despair might be honed off to a point so fine and thin that it would be nearly the same as vanishing.

    Great [IMG]
I've been holding out on buying these because of the US dub only.

Let's hope they have English Subtitles. From what I understand, it is hard to understand the Aussie track. Subtitles would do it.

English subtitles should be standard on ALL discs if you ask me.

I'm just curious but will it continue the dub track also? I know everyone is against dub tracks, but this is one that most people are used to because it is the way it was shown theatrically.
