VCI Press Release:
Re: ROBINSON CRUSOE / Item #DVD8350 / Change in Street Date
At the last minute we had an opportunity to add an interview with Dan O'Herlihy to the Special Features section on the DVD. Unfortunately this has caused a delay in our production schedule and we will not be able to meet our original Street Date.
Please make a note that the new Street Date will be: September 14, 2004
We apologize for this inconvenience but hope you will agree that this interview with Dan O'Herlihy (who received an Academy Award Nomination for his performance in "Robinson Crusoe") will only add more value to our DVD release.
OK... two more weeks or so for Mr. O'Herlihy's interview. Wasn't it his wife's cow that started the great Chicago fire?
2-fer, as it should be. Interested to see whether Kino will do the same. Interested to see which studio does the better transfer. Hmmm... from no "L'Age d'Ors" on DVD to a couple, and "An Andalusian Dog" to boot!. Nice.
Thanks, Willard. I'm just passing on info from VCI. Sept. 28 is the official release date, although finished copies have been available for at least a week. I got mine Monday.
