Loose RCA jack on Denon receiver. (1 Viewer)

When I went to unhook an RCA cable from the back of my receiver, I somehow loosened the RCA jack from twisting the RCA plug back and forth to remove it. The jack still seems to work, but it concerns me. It doesn't move in and out, but now turns.

Is this an easy fix? If so what does it entail as my warrantee has expired and I'd like to fix it myself if it isn't too hard?

I'm not sure if this is a "do it yourself" fix. I would recommend calling the manufacturer to get a list of authorized repair centers, call the repair center and ask about the problem, possibly an estimate.

Is it a digital in/out or analog in/out?

Todd, If you want to try & fix it yourself I would first open the receiver up & see how the jack is attatched to the rear panel. If it's screwed on just tighten up the screws but most likely it's rivited to the panel which usually means driling the rivit's out & replacing them & usually with a new RCA Jack which will have to be sodered & if you have no experience with sodering electronics I would pass on it. Seeing it's out of warranty I think your best bet would be to call a bunch of electronic repair shop's & ask them how much they would charge to replace an RCA jack. I would'nt think it would be that much & any repair shop can do that kind of work. I'll bet if you fought with them you could get it done somewhere in the $20.00 range. Only a couple of years ago I had a shop which I din't know replace a Coaxial Antenna Input on a tv & after fighting with them they did it for $15.00 & it took them all of 10 minutes to do it.
