Hi,
I am just getting ready to build my first set of HT speakers. I am debating between designs using large floorstanding front LR's with large center channels (like the focal center kit at www.zalytron.com or the audax HT kit center) and smaller surrounds, or building a system with 5 small shielded bookshelf type speakers. So, if you have a good sub is it worth going for more full range LCR speakers vs small bookshelf speakers.
FYI, the focal center kit is similar to the audax design with 2 7" flanking a 5" and tweeter.
