Just got new HK AVR330, question... (1 Viewer)

Picked up an HK AVR330 to replace my Sony STR-DE1075 tonight. Got it new in box for $450.

Does anyone have an idea why the AVR230 seems to be more popular than the 330? There seem to be more reviews, more posts, etc.

The 330 is 7.1@55wpc vs 6.1@50wpc for the 230. Other than that, and maybe multi-room capability for the 330, they seem pretty similar.

Just curious. Thanks for the input.

I am sure part of it is due to price. I just got a HK-235 for $330. Nice receivers though.

Ok, price I can live with.

I was beginning to think there was something about it people didn't like.

Great price for the 235, by the way! The store I got the 330 from had a 230 for $299, but it was open box, no manuals, no remote. It wasn't as good a deal as it sounded in the paper once you got to the store. The remote costs in the neighborhood of $50 from HK.
