Hehehe...ok, they aren't really dates, but it's still a tough decision: I'm updating my A/V receiver, but I'm stuck between these two choices: http://us.marantz.com/Products/2926.asp
Or the http://www.harmankardon.com/EN-US/Products/Pages/ProductDetails.aspx?PID=AVR%201600 I'm so torn, right now!!!! What's your recommendation???

None of the above. Onkyo or Denon would be my choice just for the Audyssey processing. That's just my opinion. I'm sure there are others who would disagree, but I've owned both and they were great and I would not look at any receiver that did not have Ausyssey at least at this point in time.

Of the two you asked about I'd take the H/K mostly because it's a more traditional avr. The Marantz certainly looks cool and if small size is important then it fit's the bill. But I think I'd take EzSet/Eq over M.R.A.C., I'm not sure if the Marantz converts video to 1080p, The H/K has Logic 7, 6/8 ch analog inputs and it weights almost 28 lbs. I'm sure the Marantz has it's strong points but I'd take the H/K. Now, had you asked about the Marantz 5004....

I have the TX-SR606, I absolutely love it! Speaker setup with audyssey was so easy!
