Is Carver AV505 an improvement over Yamaha 5760 amps. (1 Viewer)

Is the Carver AV505 on sale for $328.00 (80 watts x 5)an improvement over the Yamaha HTR-5760 internal amps (95 watts x 7). I just purchased a Onkyo M-282 (100 watt x 2) to power my two front JBL S-38's and there seems to be an improvement in sound, more clear and detailed. Does anyone Know if the Carver amp will do the same for my other 5 channels.

At low to moderate listening levels, you will not notice a difference at all. But if you start to really crank it, your receiver's amps (95x7) will run out of juice well before the Carver's (80x5). I will take an outboard amp's 80x5 anyday over a receiver's 95x7. But that's just me.
