Well, in a nutshell here goes--
I've had the same hairstyle for almost 16 years. It's called the "little boy" hair cut, just a regular thing..
Then, yesterday I went to the local Great Clips (which just happens to be by a shopping center) and asked for a new style.
She suggested a Flat-Top looking thing, using clippers on the back and scissors on the bangs.
Well, I'm sitting there about to cry watching beautiful lock after lock of beautiful hair I've had for almost 16 years sink gently to the floor.
After 10 minutes of what seemed an enternity, it was over.
On the way out some HOT girls who just happened to be skipping school (I wasn't skipping school as I homeschool) happened to walk by and while I was starring at the ground regretting my decision one of the girls loudly yelled
"Look at the Pimpin' Guy!!!!!"
In your face Matt Chmiel.

Can someone tell me when, exactly, "pimp" became a compliment? Seems to me this would be one of the worst scum of the planet you could compare someone to...
Did I miss a memo?

Vince
PS: Nathan, no offense to you- I'm sure your new do' looks suave! Your post just reminded me of something I've wondered about for a while.

Perhaps these girls actually exclaimed, "Look at the pimpled guy!"
This makes much more sense.

Man, oh man! That sure brings back memories of the time back in '85 when I was 14 and got my new mullet haircut. It might not be stylish by today's standards, but hell, it got me laid back then!

Steve,
Come on...you're trying to tell us that a guy with a mullet cut actually got laid? Pull this leg and it plays Jingle Bells...

Steve your post reminded me of the guy with the long hair in Creepshow 2
" This hairs gonna get me paid and laid "
Or the other way around, ah you get the idea

The secret is to get a haircut that doesn't look like you got a haircut, so I found a barber, who doesn't look like he's a barber. -Rodney Dangerfield

January 12th, 2001. And yes, you did miss the memo. [/quote]
Actually the exact date was June 7th, 1972. Why? Because that's when this "Pimp" arrived. (My birthday).

Damn Vince... you having a rough week? I checked out a few other threads where any time the subject of women came up, you became upset at society's so-called lack of respect for women

Pimpin is just a term... just a term, man

"Big pimpin, spendin G's..."
I joke around with my friends all the time (most of them are female). I always refer to them as my "hoes" and they always call me their "pimp."
Am I literally their pimp? No... but there's usually 4 or 5 women walking around with 1 guy and we just kinda adopted the term. Of course my fiance finds it to be silly, but it's all meant in humor. Nobody takes it seriously.
