Depends on the model. More info would help. Given your description, I would say anywhere between $25-$600, but that is with the information given

I would say anywhere from 25% to 50% of its original selling price. Most used equipment typically nets at least 50 but being a HT receiver in that ever-changing market a savvy buyer would probably not pay much more than a quarter.

HAve you tried looking it up on some used equipment sites like Audio Review, Audio Shopper, or Audiogon?

If I am right it sold for $399 MSRP a couple years ago. Right now I think $150 would be a fair price, as for a little more he could get a NIB receiver thats got more features and options.
