How do people like their stand-alone tivos for digital cable? (1 Viewer)

Thinking of getting the 80-hr one. Just wanted thoughts on this unit (series 2). Does it have optical audio out or just coax or neither? I have an HD box right now too...so I would have to split cable to go into Tivo and then into HD box right? So TV control regular video and HD box control HD video? How is delay on channel surfing with standalone Tivo?

maybe 1-1.5 seconds? A lot of people find that they stop channel surfing since they can just pop up the program guide & search that way. Plus after awhile after you have your season passes/wishlists set up there are usually a ton of shows sitting on the drive & you just select one of those to watch. Don't have to search for something to watch since there is stuff waiting for you ...
