I just got the new Sony 60" XRB TV (1080p set) and a Toshiba upcpnverting DVD player. I got 2 HDMI cables. One for the cable and one for the DVD player.

The cable works PERFECTLY. Beautiful picture. But I connected the DVD player to the TV via the HDMI connection and I get no picture OR sound. I know its pluged in to the same video in that I have the TV set to and nothing happens. WHat is wrong???? Some one please help. Thanks

If you haven't done so already, check the dvd players set-up menu. Maybe you have to select HDMI output. Just a thought.
