H/K AVR 335 - Sound Goes Away (1 Viewer)

Sometimes, when the chapter on my DVD changes, the sound stops. If I switch the receiver to another source and then back to the DVD input, the sound is back. This happened once to me at the Fry's store as well. Does this happen with other receiver brands as well or did I buy very expensive crap with known problems?

I'd think this more a DVD player issue, but I have heard of issues like this as well that were the AVR. In the end, it is probably more the combo of both. Do you have any other digital audio running? Does it happen with it as well but maybe way less frequently?

Out of curiosity, can you post up the respective model numbers for these two units.

It probably is the DVD player - the DVD player is a crappy Oritron one that I got at least four or five years ago. It's time for me to get the H/K one.
