I'm looking to pick up my first DVD recorder and would like some suggestions for a good one in the $150-200 range. I was tempted to pick up a cheaper one during Black Friday but the reviews of all those put me off them, so now I'm looking for one ~$150 (up to $200).

I just need a relatively basic recorder - I don't need a hard drive and disc format wouldn't be a dealmaker or breaker (though a dual-format recorder would be nice). Any suggestions would be great. Right now I'm leaning toward the Toshiba D-R4 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...Fencoding=UTF8) for ~$160 shipped at Amazon. Any better ones for around that price?

Thanks.

I have the Ilo DVDR04 and it works fine for me, spent 100 bucks on it.

Record all my football games on it and it has a scheduled record

I'm using a Panasonic DV-588A. It gives superb result. Probably superceded by a newer model by now. Also does DVD-RAM, a not particularly popular but very versatile format.
