My immediate impulse was to think more along the lines of what Chris Roberts already said, with a literary tie-in to boot.

Don't forget the DAUNTLESS and the INTERCEPTOR! :)

Also, from "The Fog" -- the ELIZABETH DANE and the SEA GRASS

Your first choice was the best one! Paint it on the front like the boat in the movie. And then get your friend a viking helmet.

Prepare to blow the hatch!

"Is that my Ferrari?"

That movie is a classic (and has probably the worst dvd cover art EVER).

"Das Boot" - from...well, Das Boot

"Orca" - from Jaws

"Nausea" - from The Flintstones (from the TV show...it is a funny as hell reference)

"Titanic" - Oooh..I dare you to name it that

"Poseidon" - from the movie/tv show/movie

"Nimitz" - Final Countdown

"Stugats" - from The Sopranos (again, TV show but still cool)

I know I can come up with many more...got to head to work now.

*Edit* Aw crap...I started this reply and then left it. When I came back a whole page filled in and has several of my responses. You guys are just too darn fast! :)

I'm surprised all these people suggesting names from submarines.

The difficulty and bad connotation, of course, is that those... sink. I doubt this one is supposed to do so.

I'm surprised there are people suggesting names at all - the thread is 3-years old. ;)

Submarines "submerge," Leo. And what? Boats don't sink? (Cue "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"...)[/COLOR]

Came across this thread while looking for a boat name. I have a picture up where I work of a movie being shot with a fishing boat called Reliable. Anyone know where its from?
