E* 7200 Ird (1 Viewer)

I just rescently acquired the 7200, it seems like a great ird but, the picture blacks out alot. The sound stays but I lose picture for 10 - 15 seconds every once in a while. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

The Dishplayer 7100 and 7200 models were a joint deal between Dish and Microsoft. The deal went sour a few years ago and most (maybe all) support for them has been dropped. Try searching over at DBS Forums, DBS Talk and the newsgroups under alt.dbs.echostar. You will find that this receiver is filled with software bugs but some work flawlessly. If you can fix your blackouts, you can easily upgrade the hard drive to get more recording time.
