DVD player not recognizing certain DVDs (1 Viewer)

My Sylvania 1000 is about a year and a half old and just in the past week it has been acting up. It will not recognize anymore either of my Total Movie DVDs or the Kenwood Demo DVD.
The player will not recognoze them and comes back with a no disc error. There are no scratches on the DVD and are kept away from heat sources. All my movies work fine. Now these three are silver in color not gold like most of the movies. I have know idea. any thoughts.

Try turning the player off while the DVD is still in there. Then turn it on and see if that works.

Tried turning it off with DVD in player, Didn't work
The DVD work in other machines.
Could it be dust?? Myplace is really dusting. I live right next to a skate board park (largest one on the West coast, so I've heard) and the access road is a dirt road.
What is the best way to blow dust out of a player????
