Gertrud (1964)
Ordet (1955)
Day of Wrath (1943)
Vampyr (1932) +++++
The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928)
Michael (1924)

Can someone PM me a recommendation of which of these Dreyer films has gothic imagery. I tried Ordet but found it very hard to get into. I know everyone calls it a "masterpiece," but I'm pretty sure I'm never going to love it. I know what Joan of Arc is like in terms of image, but the others I'm not sure. So, appreciate help.

Ordet (1955) :star::star::star:

I had a hard time with the first hour but I thought everything picked up after that.
