canadian experience would be nice but all responses welcomed.

I have been told that wooden basement floors are superior for heat (warmer) and moisture control (drier). I plan on putting a dedicated HT in a house I want to build. Concrete floors are cheaper. I'd like to know what's the price premium for a wooden floor and which material will give me better sound.

I am finishing my basement into a dedicated HT. It currently has a concrete floor, but I will be building a wood subfloor for better heat and bass.
