Component hookup problems on an LP500 (1 Viewer)

I've been trying to hook up my LP500 to the component outs of my Progressive scan DVD player, but it doesn't recognize any signal. I'm using a component to M1-DA cable to connect to the projector. Any pointers?

Dumb question but do you see the menu on the screen for the projector, if yes, does composite video throw up a signal for you? If the DVD player is set to interlace then do you see anything as well? What configuration is the PJ currently set to for the M1-DA digital input?

I have tried with the M1-DA on auto detect and with it set to component, neither setting worked. The projector menus come up fine, but dvd menus won't show up when connected through component. The projector acts as if nothing is connected at all. Progressive VGA will display fine.
