I just downloaded the Manual for the 57HX81 and it mentions that component inputs MUST be Color Stream(trade mark) or Color Stream Compatible.
Does this mean you must buy a Color Stream Compatible DVD player or are they simply trying to stick it too you. I would hope that any progressive scan DVD player with component video would work just fine?
I am looking into buying this set.
If someone could please help me im sure this is dumb question.
sorry if this has been asked before (i am new to this site).
THANKS

Toshiba uses the terms "ColorStream" to mean component video and "ColorStream Pro" to mean progressive scan. The doublespeak simply means that to use the component inputs, you need a DVD player that supports component video. It does not have to be one of their players.
