cable channels going HD (1 Viewer)

I don't know if this is news anyone cares about here, or if this news is not something already known. But at a departmental meeting I heard there are officially plans now for a network to switch both their 24 news network and their 24 hour business news network to hd next year. Obviously I'm trying not to say specific network names just in case... but I think everyone can figure out who I'm talking about. They are talking about doing this as the 1 network is moved from new jersey to midtown manhattan next year.

...and yet, some cable companies want a monthly fee from the local network stations before they will carry their HD station!

This is going to be a fun decade to watch! (pun intended)
