Coworker just Picked his up, I misread how the tethering works.... It's not unlimited tethering if you buy before May 15th, it's free tethering until then and $20 a month if you use it after that. No good to me.

RE: the hotspot pricing, yeah, $20/month for 2GB of data. For those who want to use their data service for tablets, etc. only during certain months of the year for vacation, etc., this *might* work better than paying for the dedicated month-to-month service -- V charges $20/month for 1GB of dedicated data service (and $35/month for 2GB, etc.). Of course, you'd be running down the battery w/ that...

If you want to tether without the additional data charges, just root the phone.
