I just purchased a new Pioneer Elite VSX82TXS 135 watts per channel. My old set up was a Nad Receiver but I used the Pre outs on it and I was connected to a Parasound HCH-855A 85 watt per channel amp. My question is would it still be better to use my parasound for my amplifier rather than the built in amp of the Pioneer?

My advice would be to listen to the system both ways and judge for yourself.

Dedicated power amplifiers (even at more conservative power ratings like your Parasound) usually have advantages sound quality wise because they're not sharing a power transformer with other components within the chassis like an integrated receiver does (not to mention picking up no noise from other components).
